Polymer Lithium Battery Classification

1. Classification by structure:

  • Wound type: Use the same winding process as the production of liquid lithium-ion batteries to wind up the positive electrode, negative electrode and electrolyte membrane, and wrap them with packaging aluminum foil.
  • Laminated type: Use the hot pressing process to hot press the positive electrode, negative electrode and electrolyte membrane cut into a certain size together, and wrap them with packaging aluminum foil.

2. Classification by electrolyte:

  • Gel polymer electrolyte lithium-ion battery: Adds additives to the solid polymer electrolyte to improve the ion conductivity, so that the battery can be used at room temperature.
  • Solid polymer electrolyte lithium-ion battery: The electrolyte is a mixture of polymer and salt, the ion conductivity at room temperature is low, suitable for high temperature use.
